High fructose corn syrup is more widely used than cane sugar not only in food in industry but medicine, seasoning, daily use chemical industries, above which food is the main application domain.
Soft drinks:
The soft drinks with high fructose corn syrup is tasteful and transparent, which can substitute cane sugar in proportion of 1:1.
Alcoholic beverage:
It includes fruit wine with high fructose corn syrup. The wine appears transparent without sediments after pretreatment.
Frozen Food
High fructose corn syrup is sweeter in low temperature. The popsicle, ice cream is more delicious with high fructose corn syrup. However, in production, the fructose should be used together with cane sugar, or it will decrease freezing speed.
Soft pastry and sandwich cake
High fructose syrup is more moisturized which can be used in pastry production. Cakes made with high fructose corn syrup keeps soft and spongy after 30days while those with sugar become dry and hard after a few days or even break after longer time.
