The sesame should be processed by sesame cleaning machine before pressing. Following are some methods to identify sesame oil.
Color
Pure sesame oil appears brownish red, clear without white cotton-shaped suspended solids and black sediments.
Use spoon to scoop up oil and pour it into the can, the surface appears little colorless round bubbles and quickly disappear. If the bubbles appear greenish, the sesame oil is mixed with colza oil; it it is blackish, the oil is mixed with cotton seed oil.
Moisture
Alight a piece of paper with sesame oil. If it appears strong smoke and bursts, the oil is more moisturized. The thicker the oil, the more moisture it contains. Clear oil without residue is of good quality.
Taste
Pure sesame oil smells fragrant and tastes smooth and refreshing.
